The Necromancer is ideal if you like characters who dabble in unholy spells. Here we have recommendations for levels 1 to 60, perfect equipment, and important gameplay tricks.
If you chose the Necromancer class in Diablo Immortal, we understand that you like gameplay that involves summoning. As with every game, the first few minutes and hours are simple, but as you progress you need to make decisions and start building your character with equipment, items, gems, and more. Here we have a guide with a simple build with the best skills to use and more tips.

Skills
The simple skill rotation is: Command Skeletons, Grim Scythe in the enemy group, then Corpse Explosion, followed by Soulfire in a loop. Don’t waste your Golem with common enemies and wait to use on enemies such as bosses.

Soulfire
Basic Attack

Command Skeletons
Skill 1
Summons skeletons regularly. Activating it unleashes a powerful attack on the enemy.

Grim Scythe
Skill 2
An AoE that will create corpses for use with the next skill.

Corpse Explosion
Skill 3
Use corpses on the ground to create explosions.

Skeletal Spikes (level 8) + Wraith Form (level 15) then Command Golem
Skill 4
Skeletal Spikes (level 8) are quickly replaced by Wraith Form (level 15), which offers mobility and survivability.
Legendary Necromancer Items
It’s unlikely you’ll find all these items while leveling up, but sometimes having them can justify switching from one skill to another. Remember to upgrade your gear as much as possible, even if it’s not legendary, as you can transfer the level for free for new items you find and equip.
- Head: Skeletal Veil – Skeleton Mage has 20% increased damage.
- Torso: Shimmering Heat – Bone Armor now summons 3 bone orbs that spin around you.
- Shoulderpads: Rotspur – Corpse Explosion no longer causes an explosion, but a cloud of poison that deals ongoing damage.
- Legs: Funeral Destroyer – Parasitism curses the ground and deals damage over time.
- Primary Weapon: Desolator – Command Golem summons a lava golem that ignites nearby enemies.
- Secondary Weapon: Battle Pass Rank 10 offers several secondary legendaries to choose from, we recommend you choose Sinister Trinity – Soulfire bounces on an additional target, but with 30% reduced damage after the first target.
Common Gems
Focus on damage (Tourmaline, red gem) and armor penetration (Sapphire, blue gem).
Legendary Gems
You won’t have much opportunity to choose your legendary gems or optimize them while leveling up, unless you invest large sums of money. Use whatever you find at the moment that brings the best attributes.

General Necromancer Tips
Necromancer is one of the most versatile classes in Diablo Immortal for having good area damage and also against single targets. It’s a mage that does a lot of damage early on, has a wide variety of builds, and offers party benefits. The problem is that he doesn’t have as much mobility, he doesn’t have as much range and he relies on corpses to do a lot of damage. Switching builds is also not so ideal.
How to level up as a Necromancer?
The tip is valid for any Diablo Immortal class: do the story missions until you get to a point where you need to fulfill some requirement to progress. Generally, this requirement is just about having reached a certain level, so we recommend completing Battle Pass missions, which offer a lot of experience. This would be the fastest way to level up, but it’s not necessarily the most interesting.
If you’re looking for a more fluid experience, we recommend sticking with the story quests and embarking on optional activities whenever they arise, which include dungeons and lairs. That way the chance of you getting to crash at a certain point is lower and the game flow becomes more natural.
