Since the launch of Season of Dawn, many fans have run into several bugs. Some that would completely halt one’s progression. As a response, Bungie hunted as many bugs as possible, but players just keep finding some newer and newer bugs. One of the most reported was a bug with the obelisks.
Fans are relating that quests connected to the two Obelisks found on Nessus and European Dead Zone are breaking. These objects allow players to earn rewards for playing the Sundial activity. It also increases the amount of Polarized Fractaline, which permits upgrading each obelisk.
This bug became so popular (and common), that pushed Destiny 2 community manager dmg04 to tweet about a possible fix.
‘I can’t interact with the EDZ Obelisk!’
Walk away, try again. If that doesn’t work, head to another area on your sparrow, turn around and try again. Both of these workarounds have helped me out. The team’s looking into the bug, and we’ll let you know when to expect a fix.
Bungie also tweeted a few suggestions so you could try getting the prompt to appear while the team continues to work on a fix.
We are investigating an issue where some players cannot interact with the EDZ Obelisk.
Some players have reported that manually leaving and re-entering the area, returning to Orbit, or clearing the console cache have worked as temporary fixes.
If nothing else works, some players reported that clearing the console cache worked as a temporary fix. While others informed that waiting for 5 to 10 minutes causes the prompt to show up.
