If you searched for this term, you already have a lot of experience on the internet, and you should understand that memes and terms are born and die all the time. Fortnite, one of the most famous games of all time, is also the target of these terms and memes born on the internet.
What is the Rule 34?
Any pop culture and famous franchise end up targeted by the mythical Rule 34. In essence, Rule 34 dictates that if something exists, there will be adult content somewhere on the internet.
So it’s not a rule exclusive to Fortnite, although it’s a big target given that it’s so popular. Fortnite, like many games, features a wide, ever-growing cast of characters, making it a perfect franchise for R34.

How the Rule 34 started?
The origin of these rules can be tracked all the way back to 2006, according to Dictionary.com.
Emerging as a kind of Netiquette for the Internet group Anonymous, the rules of the internet were published on the satirical wiki, Encyclopedia Dramatica, in 2006, before an attempt at a more official list emerged on 4chan in 2007. The founder of 4chan, Christopher Poole, has said that the rules became so popular that users tended to ignore 4chan’s rules in favor of their own homemade rules of the internet.
Some sources say there are 50 rules of the internet. But there is no consensus regarding the veracity of this. Regardless, it’s not like they’re meant to be taken seriously in the first place.
Some games, such as Overwatch, have gained massive fame within the R34 community. At the peak of its popularity in 2016. But shortly after the colossal success, Blizzard started a campaign to remove any NSFW content that involved its games.
But no matter which company wants to block this type of content, at the end of the day, Rule 34 is relentless, unstoppable and absolute.
